Very Fire 1/350 scale USS Des Moines plastic model kit. The USS Des Moines holds the distinction of being the first heavy cruiser equipped with an automated ammunition loading system, enabling its main battery to achieve a rate of fire of 10 rounds per minute. Laid down in 1945 and commissioned in 1948, the vessel remained in active service through 1961. Full-hull injection-molded construction incorporates photo-etched components and waterslide decals.
