The vessel initially operated with the British Home Fleet before transferring to the Arctic Ocean in September 1942 for fleet support duties. In November 1942, she participated in Operation Torch. December saw her reposition to the Bay of Biscay to counter German naval blockade efforts. On January 1, 1943, HMS Scylla sank the German vessel Rohactis northwest of Cape Finisterre. Summer 1943 involved anti-submarine escort operations in the Bay of Biscay, followed by participation in Operation Avalanche that September. The cruiser supported the Normandy Landings in June 1944. The ship was scrapped at Barrow Shipyard in 1950. This 1/350 scale Trumpeter kit faithfully reproduces this historical warship.
