Description
The Gerard is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed in West Germany in 1965, and deployed in the West German Army starting in 1973. About 400 of this vehicle were deployed in West Germany, and the were also exported to the Netherlands and Belgium. This vehicle is equipped with a turret, with one Oerlikon 35mm anti-aircraft gun and four smoke-grenade launchers on the left and right sides of the Leopard 1 chassis. It has a computer that calculates the shooting specifications and enables high-precision anti-aircraft shooting.
The tracks of this limited-edition model kit from Takom will be movable after assembly; metal wire and photo-etched parts are included, as are decals.
