The No. I command tank is an armored vehicle for commanding the tank corps. After a vehicle based on the I tank A type was manufactured in 1935, a vehicle using the larger I tank type B body was produced and given the special vehicle number of Sd.Kfz.265. It was armed with one 7.92mm machine gun operated by the commander on the front right side of the battle room. The radio was equipped with Fu.2 and Fu.6, and some of the later vehicles had an additional frame antenna.
