F4U Corsair is a famous carrier-based fighter aircraft deployed by U.S. Navy in WWII. With the first prototype manufactured in 1940 and final variant produced in 1953, it has the longest production run of any U.S. piston-engined fighters.F4U is a single-seat, single-engine and inverted "gull wing" fighter who is renowned for its good performance, speed, ruggedness, and firepower. It is the first fighter in US with a speed over 640km/h and one of the fastest piston-engined fighters. Beside air warfare, it also could be used in tactical bombing.
