This is the HPI 3 Speed "High Speed" Third Gear Set. This is a standard replacement part for the Savage XL, but is an excellent upgrade part for the Savage and Savage X family of monster trucks equipped with the 3-speed transmissions listed below. The "high speed" gear set provides a 15% taller ratio in 3rd gear, with 26 and 36 tooth gears replacing the standard 24 and 38 tooth gears. The result is the same punch in first and second gears, with more top speed in 3rd gear. So get out your radar gun, these gears will make your Savage faster than ever! These gears will not fit in 2 speed transmissions.
