BAC Lightning 64mm EDF Jet - Receiver Ready (PNP) from Freewing - FJ10513P
The BAC Lightning was Britain’s first and only home developed supersonic fighter. Conceived in the late 1940s as a high altitude bomber interceptor, it entered Royal Air Force service in 1960 and remained in frontline use until the late 1980s. Based on the P.1 research aircraft, the Lightning became instantly recognizable for its stacked engine configuration, blistering speed, and powerful climb. No. 92 Squadron operated the Lightning in Germany, where its role shifted from high altitude interception to low level defense.
The Freewing 64mm BAC Lightning 64mm EDF brings this legend to life in a compact toss and go jet. Finished in that squadron’s authentic RAF livery and faithfully replicating the Lightning’s stacked engine layout, the model delivers standout scale realism in flight.
A 4S 2840-2700KV outrunner motor paired with a 40A brushless ESC with thrust reversing drives a 64mm 12 blade EDF, producing strong acceleration, crisp handling, and a smooth jet like sound. The true to scale fuselage contour provides a natural hand launch grip, while the lightweight compact airframe enables tight turns, fast passes, and spirited runs that keep every flight engaging.
