Border Model 1/35 Junkers Ju 87 D5 Stuka Plastic Model Kit

The Junkers Ju-87D-5 Stuka was a late-war variant of Germanys iconic dive bomber, adapted for ground attack missions on the Eastern Front. Retaining the Stukas signature gull wings and precision dive-bombing capabilities, the D-5 featured improved armor protection, a longer wingspan, and two underwing-mounted 20mm MG 151/20 cannons for strafing runs against Soviet troops and vehicles. Powered by a Junkers Jumo 211J engine, the D-5 was slower than contemporary aircraft but made up for it with brutal accuracy and psychological impact—especially when equipped with the infamous wailing Jericho Trumpet sirens. Though increasingly vulnerable to enemy fighters by 1943, the Ju-87D-5 remained a feared battlefield support aircraft, particularly in anti-tank operations when paired with shaped-charge bombs or later tank-busting variants.
