US M54A2 5-ton Gun Truck. Truck, Cargo, 5 Ton, 6x6. US Army general purpose truck designed in the early 1950s by International Harvester and produced by IH, Diamond T, Kaiser (later Kaiser–Jeep) and Mack. The Vietnam gun trucks were field-modified weapons-platforms to protect the supplies, fuel and ammunition convoys from attack. Their armour plating was salvaged from destroyed trucks.
